RETURN TO COURSE DESCRIPTION
Self-Paced Study Period:  August 12 - September 24, 2022

During the self-paced study period, participants will be asked to complete a total of five pre-recorded video lectures (totaling six hours) given by William J. Walsh, PhD, FACN, and Malcolm Sickels, MD, ABOIM, ABIHM.  These video modules serve as prerequisites to the LIVE webinar series.   Participants will also be given access to the course's written materials and are encouraged to review these documents during this time.

The pre-webinar video modules provide foundational information that includes:

  • Insights from the massive WRI biochemistry database for 25,000 patients
  • High-incidence nutrient imbalances that can impair synthesis and functioning of neurotransmitters
  • Diagnosis and treatment of metal-metabolism disorders, including zinc depletion, copper elevations, and toxic-metal overload
  • Diagnosis and treatment of pyrrole disorders and other forms of oxidative stress
  • Biochemistry of methylation
  • Epigenetic science and techniques for adjusting expression of key enzymes
  • Blood/urine laboratory assays, including protocols to maximize validity
  • Importance of a good medical history to identify symptoms/traits that aid diagnosis
  • The clinical process (medical history, evaluation of lab chemistries, diagnosis of imbalances, and treatment design)
  • Familiarity with prescribed nutrients aimed at normalization of brain-chemistry, including recommended dosage
  • Safety, nutrient interactions, and avoidance of side effects
  • Patient management and aftercare
  • Methyl bookmarks and cell nourishment; telomere research; glia revolution in neuroscience;  resolution of bipolar mysteries; DNA repair and CRISPR; protecting DNA integrity: a new paradigm in healthcare
